Sharp Papyrus TC900

Sharp today unveiled its unique Papyrus PW-TC900 media-focused dictionary. While its central feature is a Japanese dictionary capable of translating English and providing audio pronunciation guides for as many as 26,000 English words, the TC900 is also the first such device to also have built-in mobile TV, according to Sharp. The new dictionary can receive broadcasts in Japan's 1Seg digital broadcast format and has a pivoting screen that rotates 180 degrees when the owner focuses solely on TV viewing. Sharp adds that the TC900 is a general-purpose MP3 player that supports MP3 playback and eBooks stored on SD cards. This most recent Papyrus is expected to ship to Japan on December 8th for an open price.
