Pantech PN-820 for Verizon

Pantech's distinctive PN-820 clamshell phone is expected to launch with cellular provider Verizon next month, as revealed today by an online leak. As with the already available Cingular 3125, the PN-820 uses the full Windows Mobile 5 operating system despite its use of a number pad instead of a keyboard. This gives it the abilities of costlier smartphones without the bulk created by extra text keys, Pantech explains. The phone can use pocket editions of common tools such as Microsoft Office and Windows Media Player, allowing it to edit documents or play media from the home and workplace alike. The PN-820 will also share many features of Verizon's other mid-range phones, including a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and EVDO broadband. The phone is expected to launch with the US carrier on December 29th, although pricing has not been revealed. A full-size photo is available after the jump.
