HOBO Temperature Logger

Onset Computer has unveiled a new computerized temperature-tracking product for consumers that provides adetailed, visual profile of household heat and air conditioning usage. Designed to help reduce energy costs, the new HOBO Temperature Logger Kit combines a HOBO Data Logger - a compact, battery-powered temperature recording device - and accompanying software that allows you to view heat and AC activity on your home PC or Mac. "The HOBO is even easier to use than a programmable thermostat," the company said. "An average homeowner with basic computer skills can set up and activate the HOBO within minutes. Then, it's just a matter of disconnecting the HOBO from the computer and placing it in areas throughout the home to be monitored." The HOBO U10 Kit, which includes a HOBO U10 temperature data logger, HOBOware Lite software, and USB interface cable, is priced at $80.
