CatDV 5.1 adds new thumbnail view

CatDV 5.1 released
Square Box Systems today released CatDV 5.1, a major update to its suite of video logging and media asset management software. CatDV 5.1 is a scalable media asset database with particular support for dealing with video content. The software features media analysis tools and automatic scene detection to extract the metadata inherent in most media files, with support for importing as well as exporting edit decision lists and other video-oriented file formats. The latest revision adds a new 'exploded' thumbnail view, an Enterprise edition of the CatDV Server, and improvements to the Live HTML Publisher as well as playback of Avid OMFI files. CatDV 5.1 is a free update for existing users of CatDV 5.0, and is priced at $275 for the Professional edition. A standalone introductory version of CatDV is available for $80. CatDV 5.1 requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later with QuickTime 6.0 or newer.
