CrossOver Mac 6.0 beta 3
Codeweavers has released public beta 3 of CrossOver Mac 6.0, allowing users to run Windows-based applications on Intel-based Macs without installing the Microsoft Windows operating system. The latest beta release begins to converge on a final 6.0 version, according to the company, but still has some major issues to resolve such as Quicken 2007 functionality and general polishing. The update includes notable fixes for service packs, Outlook 2003, Quicken versions prior to 2007, and Half Life 2. The latest revision of the software also includes improvements to non-U.S. locales, with the European and Japanese environments becoming noticeably more usable. Codeweavers is accepting pre-orders of CrossOver Mac 6.0 for $40, which requires an Intel-based Mac running a compatible version of Mac OS X.
