Mesa Dynamics today updated its public beta of Amnesty Generator, a free utility for Mac OS X that automatically converts embeddable Web content into Dashboard widgets. The software automates the process of embedding Google gadgets, PicGames games, Widgetbox widgets, and YouTube videos by wrapping HTML code into widgets. Users can copy and paste HTML code directly into the software, tweak settings, and generate widgets with the click of a button, according to Mesa Dynamics. Amnesty Generator 0.8 beta is available for free, runs natively on Intel-based Macs as a Universal Binary, and requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.
