WL-320 WiFi Access Points

ASUS on Friday revealed its WL-320 line of WiFi access points for users seeking greater range without resorting to more expensive 802.11n hardware. Both the WL-320gE (bottom left) and WL-320gP (upper right) feature a 20dBm signal amplifier that can maintain a connection as far as 850m away when unobstructed, according to ASUS' claims. Either access point can alternatively serve as a bridge for Ethernet-only devices or repeat the signal from a host router. The gE variant is a basic model with a single 5dBm antenna; the gP adds a second antenna for better signal strength as well as support for power-over-Ethernet when a dedicated power source isn't available. Pricing and release details weren't mentioned as part of the announcement.
