IK ships StealthPlug cable
IK Multimedia today began shipping StealthPlug, a compact .25-inch jack to USB audio interface cable for guitar and bass players. The cable comes bundled with six software and sound packages: a guitar/bass amps and effects standalone and plug-in processor; a full recording studio; and two effects/instrument plug-ins as well as numerous ready-to-use sounds and loops. The StealthPlug is the first audio interface for guitar and b ass integrated into a simple miniaturized .25-inch jack to USB cable with full input/output processing capability, according to IK Multimedia. The device includes IK's new AmpliTube 2 Live standalone and plug-in recording software, featuring a fully MIDI-controllable interface with 15 buitar and bass amp combinations. The StealthPlug also comes bundled with four additional software packages which include Tracktion 2.1, T-RackS, SampleTank 2 SE, and 500MB of Sonic Reality sound loops. StealthPlug is available for $130, and requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later.
