Apple X11 update, review

In brief: Apple has released an updated X11 for Mac OS X package, which the company says enables it to better handle GLX stereo visuals and off-screen rendering to GLX Pbuffers and Pixmaps.... MacNN has reviewed the Epson Perfection V100 Photo scanner ($100, shown at right), a flatbed unit boasting a slim device capable of scanning directly to print, email, or PDF files.... ATI has begun offering its X1900 XT graphics card to G5 owners for purchase and upgrade, which was previously only available as a build-to-order option for Mac Pro customers.... Smart Loops has released MIDI Drum Loops Volume 2 ($20), featuring more than 200 unique loops offering over 600 measures of live drum grooves and fills.
