Speedflow Edit 4.0 ships
OneVision today released Speedflow Edit 4.0 for Mac OS X and Windows, its Java-based software that enables full PDF editing of text, images, and vector graphics from a user's desktop computer. Speedflow Edit offers comprehensive prepress editing tools in the hands of authorized print production personnel enabling complete control of all data within PDF files to save money, time and effort. The editing tool is designed for use by publishers and organizations that produce all sizes and types of printed materials, including magazines, books, and newsletters: users can alter images and advertisements in virtually any PDF, including text, vector and raster elements--without having to obtain and access the original document or use the original program. PDF files from any application can be opened, edited and cleanly written as a PDF (v1.2-v1.6), including PDF/X-1a and PDF/X-3 standards.
In addition, Speedflow Edit can quickly find and correct text, colors and fonts used throughout an ad or document; it also offers transparency editing and creation tools to solve difficult overprinting and layering problems. Transparencies can be flattened to a single plane for compatibility with systems that are unable to accept PDF files with native transparency.
Speedflow Edit 4.0 requires Mac OS X 10.4.2 and higher with Java v1.4.2, Update 2. The company said that pricing is based on based on configuration and individual requirements.
