HTC and Treo at Cingular

Leaked official documents have revealed that Cingular plans to launch two highly-anticipated smartphones within the next two weeks, according to Mobility Today. An ad for the Treo 680 has surfaced online, revealing that the US carrier expects to be the first to launch the smartphone on November 5th. The leak also confirms Palm's claims that the device will be inexpensive relative to the previous 650, 700, and 750 versions: prices will range from under $200 when bought with a two-year unlimited data plan to $425 with no obligations.

Click through for details of the 8525 and photos of the revealed documents.

Revealed at the same time is that the previously substantiated Cingular 8525, a rebranded HTC TyTN, will arrive within the next few days. The 8525 will become Cingular's first 3.5G Windows Mobile device, according to the uncovered fact sheet. In line with earlier information, the 8525 will be available without a 2-megapixel camera as the Cingular 8500 but will otherwise keep the more advanced handheld's Bluetooth 2.0, HSDPA/UMTS mobile broadband, and WiFi support. Either device will support the company's push-to-talk instant voice feature. Cingular lists the prices as beginning at $360 when linked to unlimited data service and culminating at $560 for a stand-alone device.
