"Image Moments" debuts
Digital Foci today introduced its new redesigned "Image Moments" digital photo album frame, enabling users to display and share photos directly from digital camera memory cards on a selection of decorative interchangeable picture frames. Users can insert any digital camera card into Image Moments to view photos on the 8-inch color LCD screen, and the device includes an easel leg supporting either landscape or portrait positioning. Image Moments also allows users to create custom frames with its proprietary adapter ring design, according to Digital Foci. The company will begin taking pre-orders for Image Moments ($230) starting October 30th, with additional frames priced at $20 each.
Additional features include an automatic on/off timer, a new security cable lock slot, a lockable memory card slot cover, and new file management commands for copying, deleting, or renaming files. A "Photo Slideshow Mode" lets users automatically scroll through photo collections, and the device supports MP3 music soundtracks as well as MPEG video files.
A remote control and on-screen display provide for easy navigation, selection, and viewing of digital photos and video. Users can also start and stop slideshows or change intervals as well as transitions, and the remote supports zooming, rotating, panning, and brightness/contrast adjustment. A "Photo Thumbnail View" eases the process of browsing through photos in the file library, which supports sorting files by photo, music, or video formats.
Supported memory cards include CompactFlash I/II, MD, MMC, SD Card, Memory Stock, and MS PRO media. Mini-SD, MS Duo, MS PRO Duo, and xD-Picture Card formats are also supported with an adapter. Supported file formats include JPEG images, MP3 audio files, and MPEG-1/MPEG-2/MPEG-4 videos.
