Kult Heretic Kingdoms

Virtual Programming today released Kult - Heretic Kingdoms, a role-playing game combining 3D graphics with the intuitive environment of an isometric game. Set in the world of the Heretic Kingdoms where god is dead and religion is heresy, players are cast as a young female inquisitor working to stamp out the last remnants of religion. Charged to destroy a relic which the Inquisition considers a significant threat, players are drawn into a war between two secret societies. One -- a conspiracy of mages whose goal is true power -- and a shadowy cult that seeks to resurrect the dead god. Kult - Heretic Kingdoms is available as a digital download for $30, and requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.

An enhanced transfer system provides much greater realism in Championship Manager, with Clubs haggling during negotiations as other clubs try to out-bid users. Rivals make it difficult for users to get their star players, and enquiries allow users to gauge a player's interest before entering negotiations. Greater player/board interaction facilitates communication with user's squad as they try to appease disgruntled players. The board also takes the user's league position into consideration when approached with requests or ultimatums.

"As the story progresses, you will be placed in an amoral world and left to decide your own morality. Just like the real world, your actions have consequences, and it is up to you to decide if you can live with them or not. Play as an altruistic heroine, a vicious and selfish egotist or just a woman trying to get her job done - your actions will lead you to one of six different endings depending on where you decide your loyalties lie. Will you crush religion underfoot, or become its savior? Only you can decide."



The game features a vast world with nearly 50 locations, numerous unique monsters, and more than 50 quests -- all of which affect the people or the balance of power in the kingdom of Corwenth as well as its neighbors.

Players affect the population of a dungeon by what they choose to kill, and can take weapons as well as armor from their foes to use them as their own. The game contains unique items and weapons, while an attunement system allows players to empower a character dynamically to choose the path of the mage or a warrior. More than 100 attunements allow players to express custom character builds, and a dialogue engine reflects the changing nature of the world in relation to player actions. A Quick Bar allows easy access to weaponry and items, and the healing system negates the need to drag around healing potions. The Dreamworld -- a dimension parallel to mundane reality -- enables players to talk to the dead to aid in quests.
