Adesso unveils iLamp

Adesso has introduced iLamp, an iPod speaker system that blends directly into home decor. The device features an iPod cradle built into the base of a desk lamp that plays music from any dockable iPod through stereo speakers, while an auxiliary input jack allows the lamp to play audio from alternative sources, according to Electronista. Varying versions are available in black or white reflecting particular aesthetic tastes or features, including the Architect with storage containers, the Tunes with a snake-style adjustable neck, or the Boom Box with higher-power speakers and an LED light. All models are shipping now from Adesso for $89.

    Ugh...

I'm not impressed. Perhaps because it is not my style and why wouldn't you include a dock connector so the sound plays out through there instead of the audio jack? Everyone knows the sound is much better through the dock connector.
