Other World Computing has released its OWC Mercury Pro Pioneer Dual DVR-111 DL DVD-/+R/RW external optical drive solution that comes packaged with the professional software and media necessary for "Plug-and-Play" use with either Apple or PC desktops The OWC Mercury Pro is equipped with both FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 ports, providing compatibility with virtually any Mac authoring application including Apple iLife suite, Roxio Taost, Apple iTunes, Apple iDVD, CharisMac Discribe, and NTI DragonBurn. The drive features BURN-proof buffer underrun technology and includes NTI DragonBurn, EMC Retrospect Express, FireWire and USB cables, 25 pieces of 52x-rated CD-R media, and 5 pieces of 8x DVD-R general-use media.
