Onset unveils HOBO Pro v2
Onset Computer has announced the HOBO Pro v2 Series of four Mac-compatible weatherproof data loggers designed for use in a broad range of outdoor temperature and humidity monitoring applications. Slightly larger than a pocket-sized flashlight, the HOBO Pro v2 loggers address the need among professional researchers for a portable data logger capable of withstanding harsh outdoor and condensing environments such as field site evaluations, ecology studies, and microclimate monitoring. Key features of the HOBO Pro v2 include a robust and replaceable RH sensor that provides superior recovery from condensing conditions, as well as fast data offload via a high-speed optic-USB interface. HOBO Pro v2 Series loggers are available from Onset for $129. The optic-USB base station, HOBO Waterproof Shuttle, protective boots, and HOBOware software are available separately. [image]
The company is offering four loggers which include a temperature/RH internal sensor model, a temperature/RH external sensor model, a dual external temperature sensor model, and a one-internal/one-external temperature sensor model.

Onset also offers HOBOware software for plotting and analyzing data, an intuitive graphing and analysis software package for Mac systems. HOBOware provides a easy-to-use graphical user interface plotting, analyzing, and print data files. Each HOBO Pro v2 logger can store 42,000 measurements, runs for up to three years on a single user-replaceable battery, and is compatible with Onset's HOBO Waterproof Shuttle for safe data transport in the field.
