Universal Valentina for REALbasic ships

Universal Valentina 2.4.3
Paradigma has released Valentina Technology Release 2.4.3 for all of its developer and business products. The release provides numerous minor productivity improvements in addition to new, advanced SQL features and Universal Binary support for the REALbasic development system. Valentina business products include Valentina Office Server for Windows and Mac OS X (PPC and Intel) and Valentina Studio, a fast and easy to use visual tool for creating, browsing, querying and administering both local and server-side Valentina databases. The Valentina 2 Application Developer Kits offers royalty-free incorporation into desktop applications, while Valentina Developer Network allows royalty-free distribution of Valentina Embedded Server. Valentina technology includes support for Valentina XML import/export, Valentina SQL (SQL 92 + extensions), native Unicode UTF-16 support, simultaneous data exchange, transparent file formats, and more.
Version 2.4.3 adds a new network protocol to compress transmitted records by an average of 50 percent and a new packet versioning protocol, enabling packets to transmit versioning information for improved communication with older/newer versions of the Valentina client and Valentina Server components. It also adds a new commands to add, create, or drop an SQL table if it exists, helping improve workflow for table modification. The feature also allows a new table to be created with a select statement, allowing users to execute further (complex) queries on the newly created table.
Valentina for REALbasic now natively supports Intel-based Macs (as well as legacy PowerPC-based Macs). The Universal Binary supports Mac OS X 10.4. During the month of October, 2006, new users and upgrades to Valentina for REALbasic ADK Pro will also receive a free copy of Valentina Office Server 5-Connections ($300 value). The Universal Binary version of Valentina Office Server was released in Spring of 2006.
In addition, the company said that the latest release of Valentina Studio includes over 20 fixes and productivity improvements. The software offers developers visual database creation, browsing and administration tools.
Valentina 2.4.3 is a free upgrade for current users of Valentina 2.x products. Valentina 2.4.3 ADKs start at $200, while Valentina Developer Network, which allows royalty-free distribution of Valentina Embedded Server, starts at $500.
