    re: mbp update

A couple weeks back, this discussion came up about laptop updates -- I'm a wonderin', then, what folks think will be announced at MWSF -- ?

I forsee: Review of upcoming Leopard 10.5 release / iTV review . . . laptops to be held off until then? Thoughts?

    Leopard

We will probably see a real preview of Leopard. The WWDC presentation left me feeling a bit underwhelmed considering the 2 year dev cycle.

Steve mentioned that they were holding back on some features, and I'm really interested in seeing what exactly they've got up their sleeves.

    I expect to see updated..

I expect updated MacBooks, Mac Minis and the new iPhone.

I don't see how Apple could wait until January for updated MacBook Pros, so I expect to see them within 30 days.

    I know.

Please stop acting as if rumored speculations are somehow real. I have sources that tell me any type of iPhone will fall within the same realm as the iPod with a few really rock solid features, and the rest left to 3rd party dongle/accessory developers. As for what will happen between now and the end of the keynote at MWSF 07... I think we'll see an even bigger LCD screen to compliment the existing lineup, i also think we'll see new chips across the board and probably a slideshow segment of the keynote dedicated to that, and i also think we'll see a macbook with dedicated video memory. One last thing that i don't expect soon, but do expect sometime in the next 4-8 months is an improved/expanded server offering, as well as possibly another cpu based non-server device. iPhone? Maybe, if it actually is something apple is working on, we'll see it at MWSF or at a special event soon.

Am sure Steve will introduce the iTV product that was featured during their last product release.

    anticipation

I'm looking forward to yet another runup of speculation about an iPhone followed by a triumphant Macworld complete lack of any announcement of an iPhone. Get a life!!
