Zune player to interface with 360, Microsoft points

updated 02:45 pm EDT, Mon October 2, 2006

The Zune and your 360

Microsoft's "iPod killer" will connect to your Xbox 360, the company tells Next-Gen. Once attached via USB cable, a 360 will be able to access a Zune to stream music, pictures, and video, just as the 360 can currently stream content from a PC. If a Zune is hooked up to your PC, a 360 will also be able to stream content indirectly. Hold on to those Microsoft points by the way - the company will accept them at the Zune Marketplace, a sort of hybrid between iTunes and Xbox Live. The Zune player is expected to launch November 14th.
