Sony Gamer's Day: Oct 19th
Like a final breath before the plunge, Sony is planning one last PS3 event before the November launch. Its name is Gamer's Day, and Kotaku pins the event to October 19th, a little less than one month before the first PS3s go on sale. The San Francisco gathering should feature roundtable discussions, executive demonstrations, and like the Nintendo Wii event in September, about a half a day of hands-on play. This is when we might learn how the PSP will connect, or how the games download service should function. The Scan would like to start the rumour of a price cut to the $499 system - despite Sony's protests, the company has to know that gamers can pick up a 360 bundle for $399.
