Fortify Software today released Fortify Source Code Analysis Suite 4.0, its integrated set of tools designed to find, track, and fix security vulnerabilities in software applications. The update includes additional management controls, increased customization capabilities, and expanded reporting functionality. Fortify Source Code Analysis Suite 4.0 provides software security auditors with enhanced rule writing capability, as well as increased clarity into the analysis process, according to Fortify Software. The latest revision brings expanded language support, integration with Findbugs -- a popular open-source defect detection tool -- and a new "touchless build" feature that eases integrations with build as well as development environments (pricing and system requirements were unavailable).
