The next SW: Battlefront
The next game in LucasArts' reasonably popular Star Wars: Battlefront series will be developed by Free Radical, CVG reports. This is the result of a deal signed in late August. Or so it would seem - Free Radical refuses to confirm CVG's info. "I'm not currently able to elaborate on the details of our recently-announced deal with LucasArts," says Radical director Steve Ellis. Whatever the case, a Battlefront game is probably not the major Star Wars franchise the Wall Street Journal has written about. The potential for new toys and storylines would be severely limited. Free Radical's other games have included TimeSplitters, Second Sight, and the forthcoming Haze.
