HP acquires Voodoo PC
As mentioned on sister site Electronista, Hewlett-Packard is finalizing a deal to acquire PC manufacturer Voodoo PC. Voodoo is a Canadian outfit specializing in custom-built gaming rigs. The company will continue to persist as a unique organization, but heads Rahul and Ravi Sood will migrate to a new gaming division within HP. The move echoes a similar one several months ago, when Dell bought gaming specialists Alienware yet allowed them to continue functioning as an independent entity.
