Assassin: 360's AI better?
The producer of Assassin's Creed, Jade Raymond, tells IGN that the 360 version of the game will be superior to the PS3 version in at least one area: crowd AI. The reason is that the 360's CPU supposedly allows for better threading, which may be extremely important when tracking a dozen or more characters at a time. Creed's gameplay is heavily dependent on crowds - they form the heart of what Ubisoft refers to as "social stealth," or the blending in of a player with the characters around him. What's surprising is that the PS3's eight-core Cell processor would have more trouble than the three-core processor in the 360. Notably, of course, the PS3 game will probably have better graphics.
