Recosoft is shipping PDF2Office Personal v3.0 for Mac OS X, a major upgrade to its PDF-to-Word conversion plug-in for the Mac. PDF2Office Personal v3.0 utilizes a client-server computing model delivering optimal PDF-to-Word conversion performance for the Intel- and PowerPC-based Macs. It is a Universal Binary that includes over 250+ new features and enhancements including the abilityt to convert static PDF forms into editable Word documents and convert PDF files into high-resolution images embeddable in Word files. PDF2Office automatically recreates the original construction and layout of the document, including forming paragraphs; applying styles; regrouping independent graphic elements; extracting images; creating tables; and processing headers/footers, endnotes/footnotes and columns/sections. Version 3 also includes PostScript font matching, substitution and scaling mechanisms as well as a dramatically improved PDF layout reconstruction v3.1 engine. It is available for $60 (upgrades are $30 or free to all purchases after August 1st).
