Gears of War too easy?
If you've been lucky enough to attend X06, you may have had a chance to play the floor demo of Gears of War. But is the game too easy? A writer for Joystiq came to the conclusion that frequent checkpoints and regenerating health levels make the demo a breeze. In short order however, Epic's Mark Rein has leapt to the defense of the game in the official forums. "Cliff [Bleszinski] was playing on the 'casual' mode designed for casual gamers (i.e. easy). Always best to do that (or GOD mode) for a demo. Regardless it won't be that easy for a first-time player to take down the Locusts. I saw one of the world's top game designers play a portion of a level, that Cliff can get through in 2 minutes, and it took him about 15 minutes. Cliff makes it look easy." If you want to see the demo in action, don't forget to check out the video provided earlier. UPDATE: Speaking with Bleszinski, Rewiredmind has confirmed that co-op play will be possible throughout the entire single-player game.
