Burning Crusade beta info

Unbeknownst to most World of Warcraft players, some guild leaders have been receiving invitations to join the Burning Crusade beta with a couple of guildmates. There may have been some concern that this was a scam; but quite to the contrary, a Blizzard moderator assures us that the company is indeed handpicking players to join in a multi-phase beta test. Don't bother e-mailing them however, because the selection criteria has already been decided. Targeted groups include "PTR contest winners, BlizzCon attendees, some raiding groups, and other guilds and individuals as well." People who don't make it into the first phase may still be eligible for later ones. Blizzard cautions against spoof e-mails, which may ask players for password and account information that the real Blizzard would already have.
