MS, Nintendo ad campaigns
In the ever-expanding war for the public mind, Microsoft and Nintendo have announced new European campaigns to support their latest consoles. Microsoft is pushing a TV and cinema spot dubbed "Cops and Robbers," the highlight of which is parkour master Cyril Raffaelli (star of District B13). Nintendo, meanwhile, is preparing a campaign worth 10 to 11 million Euros ($12-14 million US) that will spread via TV, samples, and the Internet. Thanks MCV. The "Wii Move You" campaign will be particularly dominant online, effectively taking over Websites run by Lycos, Yahoo and MSN as the Wii's European launch date (December 8th) draws closer. Teasers will begin in October.
