Ant Commandos file counter-suit against RedOctane

RedOctane counter-sued

In a bizarre twist, The Ant Commandos have launched a counter-suit against RedOctane, who just recently sued them over their third-party Guitar Hero controllers. The Commandos accuse Octane (and parent company Activision) of breaking federal anti-trust laws, specifically as they relate to customers having to buy both Guitar Hero and the Octane controller at the same time. What's more, the Commandos say that one of their owners, the Topway Electrical Appliance Company, is the real source of the design behind Octane's guitar. Topway used to produce a PS1 device called the Magical Guitar; the Commandos argue that Octane management toured the Topway plant on several occasions, even asking about MG design features. In another incident, Octane once bought up several hundred Magical Guitars. Gamasutra reports that the Commandos have asked for a preliminary injunction against the Octane controller until the lawsuit is resolved.
