Callas debuts pdfaPilot

Callas Software today debuted pdfaPilot (site not updated), a plug-in for Adobe Acrobat specifically designed for users who need to quickly check whether existing PDF documents can be archived as PDF/A. The plug-in, which comes just prior to Digital Management Solutions (DMS) 2006 in Cologne, allows users to save existing PDF files as PDF/A-compliant files with one click via the interface, and enables quick analysis of existing PDF files as well as the simple creation of ISO-compliant PDF/A files. PdfaPilot is expected to ship in December (pricing and system requirements were unavailable).
