Update: 1UP botches scoop

Mike Cassidy, Xfire's CEO, has told IGN that 1UP got it wrong when they declared Xfire the basis for Sony's Playstation Network Platform. "We do have future announcements," he says. "For now I can only tell you Xfire is not part of PS3's PNP." A Sony representative further clarifies that the reason Untold Legends appears in Xfire's .INI file is because that game in particular will use the software, not every single PS3 title. Both PNP and Dark Kingdom should be properly exposed at the Tokyo Game Show on September 22nd.
