Infovox iVox released

Acapela and AssistiveWare today launched Infovox iVox, a new multilingual speech solution for Mac OS X aimed at visually impaired and blind people. Infovox iVox allows Acapela voices to be used in all applications compatible with the Mac OS X Speech Manager, including TextEdit, Preview, Acrobat Reader, and others. Infovox iVox is also usable with VoiceOver, Mac OS X Tiger's integrated screen reader technology. Supported languages currently include American and British English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Flemish, Spanish, Portuguese, Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish. Acapela offers a selection of male, female and child (American) voices for each language. Infovox iVox requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later with English, European, and Scandinavian languages available for $200, $220, and $360 respectively.
