500GB Porsche drive ships
LaCie today introduced a 500GB Porsche-designed hard drive, and lowered prices on all other capacities of its Porsche drives. The company's Porsche drives feature a sleek metal design by FA Porsche, one-click backup software for Macs as well as Windows systems, and SilverKeeper Backup software for Mac OS X. LaCie's Porsche-designed hard drives are available in capacities of 160GB ($99 for USB, $120 for FireWire), 250GB ($130 for USB, $140 for FireWire), 320GB ($160 for USB, $190 for FireWire), and 500GB ($250 for USB, $280 for FireWire). USB-enabled versions of the drives are available now, while FireWire-capable drives are expected to ship in October.
