MacBook shutdowns: redux
In Brief: Apple has tacitly acknowledged the continuing problem of MacBook shutdowns--which have been documented by MacNN readers, one user who claims to have isolated the issue, and by the user site MacBookRandomShutdown.com: the company has posted a short note in its knowledgebase asking affected customers to contact AppleCare... AppleInsider says that service providers are to repair the laptops with matching logic board and heatsink set (expected later this week), but that all "business-critical" MacBook repairs through its Austin, Texas repair depot for a faster turnaround times.... CNET has posted a comparison between the two upcoming operating systems: Vista, meet Mac OS 10.5 Leopard which includes a video covering some of the new features in a recent release of Vista.
