New audio chair offers iPod dock

iRocker 250 released

Adonis Furniture manufacturer and wholesale distributor of sofa-bed futon frames and platform beds, has just released the first video game rocker chair combo with an integrated docking station for Apple's iPod. According to the company, this is the first gaming chair ever to use the patented Apple iPod technology. The new chair, known as the iRocker 250, integrates surround sound into the chair featuring heavy magnet speakers, base tube, audio inputs, additional line input, and a master volume dial with LED indicator lights. The chairs will be sold through Cost Co, Target, and other retail outlets locally for $320 (iRocker 250) and is shipping now. [Images included]

The size and functionality of the iRocker allows it to be it a possibility for both adults and children -- offered in two different color schemes for the adult and teen audiences. The teen version comes with its micro fiber cushions in a choice of six colors, while the adult version is available in the more sophisticated palette of black, bone, or saddle, all in faux leather.

The speakers included in the chairs are made by Alltek Vision. Other versions of the iRocker which include audio line-in compatible with a variety of players including the iPod are also available ranging from $100 to $600 depending on speaker system.
