Apple event at Photokina

In Brief: MacNN has reviewed BeLight Software's Disc Cover, allowing users to create personalized designs and add custom text while printing directly onto CD/DVD media as well as labels..... Apple for the first time will be attending Photokina, the Cologne-based photography show that takes place from September 26th to October 1st, and will hold a special Apple presentation on the eve of the event.... A new report suggests that Dell and its manufacturing partner Sony knew about a battery design flaw since last October, which ultimately lead to a massive recall of certain lithium-ion portable batteries that could ignite or cause an explosion.... Microsoft has announced that its Zune player as of now will not support Audible audio books, but may support such content in the future following discussions currently underway. [corrected]

Group Logic announced that Affinity Express has licensed MassTransit Enterprise to move large digital files back and forth between its Illinois headquarters, its production center in India and its customer sites.... 24U Software has published new examples for FileMaker Pro in the Tips & Tricks section of its website, offering advice on how to add better user interfaces and design more intuitive solutions.... Aggressively looking for marketshare, video-entertainment marketer GUBA has significantly lowered prices on its library of hit movies and TV programs, allowing users to purchase downloadable movies for $10 on the same day that the movie is released on DVD. Users can buy catalog movie titles for $5 and TV show episodes for $0.50 as well as rent movies for $1.

    GUBA premium on Mac?

It looks like they use Windows Media 9 with DRM on the content, so unless the QT plugin has changed, this is not Mac compatible. They only officially support WinXP. Since this is a Mac publication, it would make sense to note that they do not support Mac users.
