EA Online privacy policy
People may often ignore those license agreements preceding software installations, but a reader of Dubious Quality reminds us that it can be important to read them. If you want to play Electronic Arts games though Xbox Live, it appears that virtually any information you share with Microsoft must be turned over to EA if they want it. This includes phone numbers, credit card data, and a number of demographical statistics, such as gender, click paths and feature usage. The topper is this phrase at the end of the agreement: "We may combine demographic information with personal information." This gives EA unfettered access to your information for purposes of marketing and market research.
