BioWare licenses engine
BioWare has licensed Simutronics' "HeroEngine" for a new MMO title, a game which will also be the first project for BioWare Austin. Nothing else is known about the MMO, but Simutronics' press release claims that the company has "spent the past five years developing this new platform, and has recently begun making HeroEngine available to developers to create their own massively multiplayer online games." BioWare Austin's Gordon Walton is quoted as saying, "Our team wanted a great rapid prototyping environment and to work with experienced MMO developers. The HeroEngine from Simutronics is a perfect fit for BioWare Austin's requirements."
