Apple Store closes prior to keynote

updated 12:30 pm EDT, Mon August 7, 2006

Apple store update

Apple has temporarily closed its online store with the company's customary "We'll be back soon" post-it message, which has historically signaled new product offerings or significant product updates. "We are busy updating the store for you and will be back within the hour," wrote Apple on its website. The closure comes just minutes before Apple CEO Steve Jobs is scheduled to present his keynote speech at the World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco. MacNN is offering live coverage of the special event at the Moscone Center with up-to-date details on events as they unfold.

Oh man, oh man, oh man...

The waiting's not the ONLY hard part--it's knowing I won't be able to afford what they release!

    Oh Steve, you wonderful b******!

    Alright!

iPhone! iPhone! iPhone! Then comes the iWalk! Then the iTivo! The the iBox (xBox replacement)! Then a real multi-button mouse that, you know, just works without having to retrain how you use a multi-button mouse by, I don't know, having two actual buttons on the top.

I know, I know, I lost you with that last one, didn't I?

    not lovin the site

i used to love the design of the apple store. it's now cluttered and unremarkable. did this change this time around or did i miss this in the last couple of weeks?

at any rate, nothin' new other than the new macpro...

missing the clean lines and crisp messaging of the old apple.com...
