Mozilla Firefox 1.505
Mozilla.org today released Firefox 1.505, an update to the popular open-source browser. The update includes 12 separate security fixes--including seven flaws labeled as critical--as well as improvements to product stability and a new Frisian locale (fy-NL). The free update, strongly recommended for all users, offers fixes for three different security issues that could lead to privilege escalation, three different JavaScript vulnerabilities, the ability to hijack native DOM methods across domains, and code execution through deleted frame reference. It requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later for PowerPC users and Mac OS X 10.4.6 for Intel-based Macs.
