Cakewalk has announced the release of a Universal patch for Rapture wavetable synthesization studio alongside the release of free expansion packs for Rapture. The update to Rapture which brings support for Intel-based Macs is free to existing users of the studio. Rapture features a non-aliasing expression engine, support for SFZ samples, and RTAS, VSTi and AU formats, as well as six fully programable stereo sound generating elements. The new expansion packs are now available, one for Rapture and another Dimension Pro, Cakewalk's other synthesizer. Both packs feature 350 new programs, new wavetables, multi-samples, and some professionally designed programs. Both expansion packs are free to registered customers. Rapture Universal update is now available and is free to existing customers. The Rapture suite is available for $200.
