REAL SQL Server ships

REAL Software today began shipping REAL SQL Server, its cross-platform multi-user database server for use with its REALbasic development environment. REAL SQL Server 2006 delivers a single-solution for desktops and servers, offering SQL reliability and performance and one-step installation along with easy configuration and administration. The company claims that the solution offers "easy transition and consistent results" when migrating from REALbasic's built-in database. "Many of our customers use REALbasic to create database applications," stated Geoff Perlman, president and CEO of REAL Software. "Now, anyone who's developed a single-user database application can turn it into a multi-user database application, simply by using REAL SQL Server." REAL SQL Server, available as a free demo, is $500 for up to five connections and $1500 for unlimited connections (available for $1000 in an introductory offer).
