ATEN sues Belkin

ATEN International today filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Beklin in the United States District Court. The suit alleges that select Belkin KVM Switches infringe ATEN's U.S. Patent No. 7,035,112, titled "Automatic Switch" ("112 Patent"). The patent gives intellectual property protection on any KVM Switches that feature attached cables, including IOGEAR's MiniView Micro Series and MiniView USB KVM for the Mac mini. The company is requesting that its partners and resellers discontinue selling and promoting the patent-infringing devices.

"For the past 10 years, ATEN has made significant investments in the research and development of new and innovative KVM technologies, including the 112 Patent," said Victor Wang, corporate council at ATEN and IOGEAR. "Our customers and partners can rest assured that we will diligently protect our intellectual property to ensure the integrity of all ATEN International products today and in the future."
