Native Instruments today released Traktor DJ Studio 3.1, a free update to the digital DJ software. The latest iteration offers comprehensive Undo functionality for playlists, as well as the ability to "lock" playlists to prevent accidental changes. Traktor DJ Studio 3.1 features an enhanced user interface, and improves performance by up to 30 percent under Mac OS X. The update supports multiple simultaneous decks with time-stretching effects, and eases the process of browsing as well as purchasing new club music releases by offering context-search capability for the integrated Beatport store within any Traktor library. Traktor DJ Studio 3 is available for $120 until September 10th, 2006, and an Intel-native version is expected in the beginning of the fourth quarter of this year. The application requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later with a G4 1.5GHz or faster processor.
