Asset Trustee 7.6 ships

FileWave today announced Asset Trustee 7.6, a new version of its inventory and asset management solution that brings software usage reporting, scheduled report creation and automated reporting via email. Asset Trustee 7.6 provides full support of Mac OS X and Windows for all components and contains Universal Binaries for Intel- and PowerPC-based Macs. Automated tasks within Asset Trustee Inventory 7.6 now offer a fully integrated scheduler interface for automating and emailing reports as well as scheduling and automating the importing of change data from client computers. The new solution also offers increased security features by limiting data accessible by department, OS type, location and other user definable criteria and its improved web-based user interface now uses Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX) to provide a "Web 2.3 experience."

"This version of Asset Trustee offers extremely powerful automation tools", says Ben Forsyth, CEO and Head of Development for FileWave (USA), Inc. "The customer is able to install and create a report schedule to receive a detailed report emailed on a recurring basis with information as diverse as total number of Adobe products installed on all Macs and Windows PCs to all the computers that have USB Cameras attached to their Mac or Windows PC to how often Microsoft Excel is used on each Mac and Windows PC. This truly is an enterprise class product offered at extremely affordable prices for all business, education and government customers."

Asset Trustee is FileWave's IT software and hardware inventory management solution for Mac OS and Windows Pcs as well as for all SNMP supported devices. Client computers automatically send all information to the centralized, SQL database where reports are run to easily verify license compliance and compute financial values useful in Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) compliance.
