iConquer 2.4 released

KavaSoft today released iConquer 2.4, an update to the game of world conquest for Mac OS X that features a new graphs window. The update offers an integrated guided tour that allows new users to quickly learn about the features of iConquer, as well as improved compatibility with the upcoming Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. The graphs window provides real-time graphs of all game statistics, allowing players to monitor world dominance over time. Graphs display the number of countries, armies, or cards owned by each player, as well as their income, victories, and defeats. iConquer allows up to six players to compete over the internet, and allows players to challenge electronic opponents with distinct personalities managed by an artificial intelligence engine. iConquer is priced at $20, and requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.

Maps

The game features more than 20 different maps which include high-resolution satellite world maps, the United States, the countries of Europe, the cantons of Switzerland, and the Solar System.

Users can also create custom maps by downloading a free iConquer Plug-in Kit from the KavaSoft website.

Localization, compatibility

iConquer 2.4 is available in English, German, French, Japanese, Italian and Dutch. The game runs natively on both PowerPC and Intel-based Macs as a Universal Binary.
