Kinemac 1.2 goes Universal
Kinemac 1.2, a 3D real-time animation and presentation software for Mac OS X, is now available as a Univeral Binary application. The software allows users to create professional 3D animations with the simplicity of a 2D presentation tool--it plays the animations in real-time at full screen and can export them to a QuickTime movie file or to a series of single still images. Version 1.2 adds support for importing 3DS files, allowing users to drag & drop 3D models into their animation. Users can then apply a variety of textures on each surface of the model, including on/off, color, reflection, specular, shininess, image texture and movie texture. It also improves display performance by adding both "Polygon Fill" and "Polygon WireFrame" to the "Views" menu to optionally view wire frames for faster rendering. Version 1.2 adds multiple object selection; the ability to align positions, anchors, or text; a new sprite library that includes few sample objects; and control via the Apple remote. It is a free upgrade to the $250 application.
