Jays ships d-Jays isolating earphones
Jays today introduced d-Jays, its earphones for portable media players such as Apple's iPod that utilize the company's new sound isolation system. The sound isolating system reduces ambient noise by up to 90 percent, offering increased battery life while decreasing the risk of hearing damage, according to the company. The technology is built around a fine balanced micro armature with a unique ergonomic design that produces sound inside the ear. D-Jays are made from poly carbonate, and use Kevlar-insulated cables for increased durability. The earphones are available in black or white for $100, with a series of three limited edition user-chosen colors expected in the near future.
