Sonnet iFreq unveiled

Sonnet Technologies today unveiled the iFreq, an in-vehicle FM transmitter and charger for iPod nano. The device features a new design and mounting system, allowing users to snap the iFreq cradle on or off an adhesive-backed magnetic disk that attaches to the dashboard. iFreq utilizes the line-out signal from the iPod to obtain a clean, consistent sound level, and is designed to provide a high signal-to-noise ratio with stereo separation, as well as extended frequency response. The body of the accessory integrates simple controls with a backlit display, which plugs directly into a car cigarette lighter jack. iFreq is compatible with all iPod models that feature a dock connector when used without the Nano mounting cradle, and is expected to ship in the third quarter of 2006 for $80.
