Google to unveil online spreadsheet
Google today is expected to unveil an online spreadsheet, and will allow users to sign up for a beta version. Google Spreadsheets will allow numerous users to work on the same document, and will provide other key spreadsheet features, according to Publish.com. Google's latest office addition will use the same file format as Microsoft Excel, enabling users who previously relied on Microsoft products to easily switch to Google's solution. In late May rumors circulated that Google could be planning to open its own music store which would compete with Apple's iTunes, further broadening the search giant's reach into other markets.
